Oatmeal with Apples and Ginger

Ingredients

  • Gluten Free Oatmeal

  • 2 tbsp ghee

  • 1 apple

  • 1 tsp fresh grated or chopped ginger

  • 1/2 tsp cardamom

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp allspice

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup

  • tart cherries

  • pecans

Instructions

  1. Cook oatmeal as directed on packaging

  2. Saute ginger and spices in ghee

  3. Add apples and tart cherries and coat with spices

  4. Add 1/2-1 cup water and cook on low to soften apples until water is almost gone

  5. Add maple syrup and serve over oatmeal
